Once I had decided to go on a London to Paris trip, I was left with only two choices: either travel on a boring airplane or hop on a bus and enjoy the journey. Frankly, both options were fine with me, but once I came to know about the iDBUS London Paris coaches, I had to try them out. Moreover, with a travel time of just around nine hours, they didn’t seem like a stretch at all; in fact, I was looking forward to travel in them eagerly.
One thing I noticed right away was that the iDBUS tickets were priced very cheap; and one could choose any coach they want according to their travel itinerary. With several departures each day and guaranteed coaches every day of the week, booking tickets was an easy affair. The earliest bus departure was at six in the morning, and the latest was at half past eleven in the night. With a journey time of around eight to nine hours, I was all set to have an experience of my life.
Moreover, you can find that iDBUS have a unique Mini Price of £35 for some of their journeys. Thus, you can travel with a peaceful mind and a firm budget, no matter when you decide to reserve the tickets. I chose the earliest bus, so that I could reach Paris by evening and settle down well before the night sets in. The buses were roomier than I imagined and the seating was fairly comfortable. Moreover, the free Wi-Fi and toilets were an icing on an already great deal; though other passengers hardly cared about the Wi-Fi. But, if you need it, it is available, and that’s what matters.
The seats reclined perfectly, and the broad arm-rest made sure that one was relaxed when sitting in the bus. There was enough space up on the hold to store your entire luggage, but if you needed more space, then you could use the space under the seats too. Getting out of London was kind of boring, thanks to the traffic. But once we reached Dover road, everything changed and we were gliding over the road with not a care in the world. It feels almost like travelling in an aircraft, although it is a bit noisier.
If you have the time to spend and are willing to let go of your stress for a while, then a bus journey is the perfect way to travel to a far-off city. Also, you will save quite a lot of money on your travel expenses. Though I was afraid the toilets might stink during the journey, there was no such occurrence, even though I was seated close to them. However, I would suggest others to choose a seat at the back, as there is more room to spare and you can spread your legs wide.
By the end of the journey, I was more relaxed than stressed. I’d read a book, listened to music, watched green and pleasant fields pass by, and had a smooth ride. Even though we reached our destination around 15 minutes behind schedule, the bus journey was totally worth it; especially at that price. I can’t wait to go on my next long-haul road trip over Europe and I’d certainly recommend the iDBUS London Paris route to any other prospective travellers looking to hop across the continent.
