Regional Differences

Although the UK is one of Europe’s most geographically compact countries, there are huge differences between regions. A trip to the UK is a great opportunity to sample regional foods like Yorkshire pudding, pease pudding and Cornish pasties. But it’s not just different foods that are on offer across the UK. Many regional accents can be heard, from Geordie in Newcastle to cockney in London and the UK’s landscape also varied from the flat Cheshire plains to the hilly terrain of the Lake District.
